I know this is an old post, but for future reference, on the eastern side of the hills Allan Fisher is a SFIA certified flight instructor. He's based out of S95/Martin Field in College Place.

Call and ask Tom Binsfield of California Searey. He was at the splash in and knows who's who.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I ended up going to Florida and getting my SES  rating in Chesapeake Sport Pilot's Searey with Daniel Myers and Greg Burtner. Great instructors and a lot of fun. Plus I found a Searey to bring back to the Pac NW.

Hi Steve, There was a guy at the september priest lake splash in who was a searey guy. i'll ask who he was. i think he was a dealer so he should know who knows what. i should get smart on the searey. i'm a cfi and it seems the market for them is growing.

As I consider buying a Searey, one of the things I'd like to know is whether there are any relatively local CFI's (western WA) who have sufficient experience/comfort in a Searey to be able to help me hone my skills flying that particular aircraft. I'd appreciate any information or suggestions. Thanks so much.

I think the nearest one will be Tom Binsfeld in Chico, CA. http://www.californiasearey.com/

You can also post on a SeaRey website  http://searey.us/?Login
