  • Dear WSPA Pilots,

    We need 5 to 7 float planes to move 2000 pounds of disaster relief supplies from Renton (W36) to Kenmore (S60) the morning of 27 April 2019. This activity is in support of the attached disaster drill which will be based at Kenmore Air. The supplies to be moved will have been transported from a staging area at Walla Walla by wheeled planes from the Washington Pilots Association DART. The supplies will consist of food items and consumable supplies that can be easily loaded. Loading/off-loading assistance will be in place at both W36 and S60.

    The agenda for the movement of the supplies on the 27th is as follows;

  • -           0900-0930 floatplanes arrive W36
  • -           0930-1000 floatplanes loaded
  • -           1000-1030 loaded floatplanes arrive S60
  • -           1100 floatplanes off-loaded followed by lunch

The complete agenda for the day is contained in the attached two files.

With respect to the Washington DART, George Steed, President Washington Pilots Association, has created a convenient way to sign-up as a DART volunteer using the following Google Forms link. George has recently updated this form to include a float plane field (amphibious or straight floats). We encourage WSPA pilots to volunteer for the WA DART. George currently has 160 pilots from 23 WA counties on the WA DART. If you have already volunteered your float plane and are on George’s list please send him a note providing your float details and he will populate the “floats field” for you (george.steed@gmail.com).

If you would like to sign up for the Washington Pilots Association DART please click on the registration button below.

Thank you!
