    Obviously I'm late to this, but just for posterity in case anyone online sees this. Aircraft takeoffs are specifically prohibited on Kapowsin. See Pierce County Code 8.88.460.B.3.

    I don't think there are any restrictions, but you might check with DNR.

    On another note, it does not appear to have much going for it other than a great fishing spot.  What make's it so good may be hazardous.  There are a lot of stumps and debris since the lake was formed by flooding a forest.  Yes it was 500 years ago, but still a lot of that stuff is still there.

    Has anyone been to Lake Kapowsin?  On the Pierce County website it is listed as a "Class A" lake, which means speed is limited to 60mph and the usual restrictions on wakes and distance to shore.  I'm surprised there isn't more detail.
