I forwarded your contact info to Jackie Nice. She and her husband Mike have Hull #3 located at KPWT. MIke is flying as a Sport pilot and Jackie has Private ASEL and Sport ASES. She wants to upgrade so they can fly in Canada.

I understand that the factory training in an Icon A5 results in a sport pilot seaplane rating. If the pilot has a Private Pilot ASES and current medical or Basic med, can they add on the Private ASES using the A5? If so are there any examiners in Western WA? 

We've had trouble finding examiners for Lake pilots as well.
